The FIRST Post from the Coast

Hello from New Haven! Hard to believe that Zac & I and of course our sweet little baby Betsy, moved up here just 3 short weeks ago! Time really does fly by FAST.  I am so thankful for cell phones/FaceTime and that wonderful thing that constantly keeps me in contact with my besties and family...texting.  But most importantly, I am ever so thankful for Jesus.

These past weeks I have experienced the "peace of God, which surpasses all understanding" in ways that I can't really describe.  From living in a hotel the first week, to moving into our apartment, to being by myself most of the days while Zac is at work, it's only been His peace that has carried me through. This isn't to say that I haven't had my low times where I wish I could just run down to the nearest coffee shop and meet up with my girls {shout out to Caley & Ashley!} or run to Sonic with my mama (side note: I haven't seen a Sonic up here :( but they do have Dairy Queens-holla!) So all that to say, this big transition from leaving the great state of Texas and our families to moving out East has gone very smoothly.

Until next time, here are some pictures to summarize what we've been up to these past few weeks in New Haven.

And we're off!  So crazy for Texans to drive through NYC and see all its glory. Yes, Zac, I just called you a Texan ;)
Our first night/meal in our apartment.  This is what Zac looked like after a long day of moving and 29494 trips back and fourth to the U-Haul place-exhausted!
Went to Hammonasset Beach on Memorial Day. Just less than 30 mins from our place!

Betsy's new friends-Smitty & Wolf. They come over and play almost every day.
Zac being a good husband and picking up the so called "junk" that I find off the side of the street.
There are little cafes & coffee shops right down the street from us. The area we live in is called East Rock and is only 20-25 mins walking distance from downtown New Haven where Zac works.
