One Month Pictures {by Tara Showalter}

 While we were in Colorado, our good friend and photographer, Tara Showalter, took some time out of the {busy} wedding weekend to take a few one month pictures of Tatum Kate.  She's a super talented photographer and wonderful friend! 

Trip to Colorado

Our little family traveled to Colorado for one of Zac's best friends Tre's wedding.  Originally, Tatum and I were not planning on going because I figured it would be too difficult to travel with a one month old; little did I know I would be panicking at the thought of being alone by myself for 4 days with a newborn!  Needless to say, we ended up going with Zac and I'm so glad we did.  It was a blast and extra special because Tatum got to see her Pops and Gigi again (who were in town from Texas for the wedding) and was able to meet a lot of her Mowery family. Tatum's first plane ride was a success too, she practically slept the whole way there!  

Tatum's 1st Month

A mama that needed to get out due to cabin fever...a precious sleeping baby on her daddy's chest...and a daddy that was sad to go back to work after such a fun {but exhausting!} week.

One day, Tatum will realize just how special it is to have grandparents that love her so much and who are SO fun to play with!


My 1st Mother's Day.  Zac, Tatum and I spent the day with Zac's parents and took a drive to Mystic to walk around and eat lunch.  I was a bit of an emotional mess that day!  Between nursing being extremely difficult and the little bit of sleep Zac & I were getting, I was just a little frazzled.  Pops and Gigi were wonderful though, and helped so much with Tatum so that Zac & I could rest.

I also wanted to post this picture of my mama, who is so special to me.  This is one of my favorite pictures from the day Tatum was born.  Isn't Susie so pretty?? Thankful that my mom and dad got to stay for 2 weeks after Tatum was born.

TK's first bath at home...she LOVED it.

Aunt Shelby came to visit!  It was so fun getting to spend time with her and watch her love on Tatum!

The Best Day of Our Lives

April 25th, 2014...the day we met our beautiful daughter, 
Tatum Kathryn Mowery.  Thank you Jesus for making me a mama!

I took this pic when Zac & my parents had gone downstairs to grab some food.  It was the first time I had been with Tatum alone...just mommy and daughter.  I was still in disbelief that she was mine.  My precious baby girl.
