My Best Friend's Wedding

Our best friends, Caley and Kyle, got married on August 3rd and it was such a fun weekend and beautiful wedding!  Zac and I had the honor of being matron of honor and best man! Caley is my best friend forever and ever aaaamen! But seriously, I don't know what I would do without her.  I am so thankful for our friendship and pray that one day, Tatum will find her a best friend like Caley.
Caley's bachelorette party night consisted of Painting With a Twist, Dinner on top of the roof at a fun Mexican restaurant and ended the night at our friend, Stefani's house.

The bride & groom.  Aren't they the cutest??
The most BEAUTIFUL bride EVER!!!!  I LOVE my Downey fam!

During our speeches...talk about being NERVOUS. Zac on the other hand, not worried at all.  Surprised?  Nope!

Summer 2014 Recap

Our first summer with Tatum has been super fun, but also super exhausting.  The first 3 months of TK's life has consisted of a lot of crying...and a lot of crying.  :) I'm really, really thankful for baby swings, vacuums, and the Ergo baby carrier.  We have spent a lot of our days going for walks, meeting daddy downtown for lunch, getting together with our friends Noelle and baby Hero, and riding in the car is always a favorite, too...except when we have to stop at those darn red lights!!!

Thankfully, by the time July rolled around and Tatum turned 3 months, I feel like we have turned a page and it's as if we have a new baby!  I think these past 3 months have made me now appreciate my days so much more.  I remember thinking is it ever going to get easier?  My sweet sister-in-law, Tara, is always so reassuring and makes me feel like there is light at the end of the tunnel.  I don't mean to sound like I am complaining, I just want to make sure I write it (or type it) down because I think it's all part of our little family's story.

A day at the beach with friends.
Our nightly routine was: daddy came home from work, take turns eating dinner and then a stroll around the neighborhood.  Zac & I found that if we wanted to be able to have a conversation & keep TK happy, the best thing would be to walk and talk.

Celebrated our 4 year anniversary at a little Mexican restaurant near our old neighborhood!  Don't we look a little tired?? Ha! It's because we were. :) We laughed, because it was just a year ago from that time when we were celebrating our 3 year anniversary with a fancy dinner followed by a trip to NYC.  This year, we were just happy we could sit down and have a meal together! Wouldn't change it for the world though, having Tatum made it extra special.
